BOTE HD Aero 11′6 Review
- GLIDE & SPEED
The BOTE HD Aero 11′6 glides through the water very well due to its shape and long waterline.
For speed, it is not the fastest for sure but it remains better than expected from a board of its size.
- STABILITY
This board is really very stable in most water, which makes it ideal for larger paddlers or beginners worried about stability.
- TRACKING
The BOTE HD Aero 11′6 does not track well due to its width of 34” and unnecessarily short side fins.
- MANEUVERABILITY
The larger size of this board makes it less maneuverable, making you have to use intermediate turning techniques to direct it.
If you are familiar with advanced techniques like the step-back, you can easily execute them due to how very wide the tail is and the deck pad that extends to the rear end of the board.
- PORTABILITY
Just the 30 lbs of the paddleboad make the package already heavy carry. Fortunately, you have the option to buy the Travelink carry sling that makes the job easier.
- EASE OF INFLATION
Inflating this board si a fair amount of work and it can be completed in about 10 minutes.
- ACCESSORIES
The BOTE HD Aero 11′6 comes with more than needed to hit the water and enjoy paddling with friends or solo. Unfortunately, this does not include the ankle leash.
The kit paddle is very durable that is more on the entry-level side but it is not bad.
The included hand pump is not quick compared to premium hand pumps because it uses just a single chamber but it still the job is done sufficiently.
The backpack you get with the package is made with high-quality materials and feels relatively comfortable on the back. Despite the package being heavy, this backpack does not come with wheels to roll it easily and with one hand.

iRocker Cruiser 10’6 Review
- GLIDE & SPEED
The iRocker Cruiser 10’6 has an above-expectations glide capability and is fast enough for most paddlers.
- STABILITY
Most paddlers will not have any issues balancing on this board because it is super stable. This makes it a hard to beat stable-platform choice.
- TRACKING
Due to the help of its three-fin setup, this board does slightly above expectations in terms of keeping a straight line.
- MANEUVERABILITY
This board is maneuverable due to the 10’6 length that makes it have less board to move.
It remains also stable side to side as turning using advanced techniques because it is wider.
- PORTABILITY
The iRocker Cruiser 10’6 is a little on the lighter side, which makes it a little easy to carry on the back. But thanks to the wheels on the back you get, you can now easily roll it using just one handle.
- EASE OF INFLATION
The hand pump you get with this board makes the job done reasonably well compared to most others.
- ACCESSORIES
The iRocker Cruiser 10’6 comes with everything needed to start having fun on the water.
Starting with the backpack, it is good as most paddle board bags and has ample room, few pockets, and wheels to roll it.
Moving to the kit paddle, it is extremely light and adjusts from 72” to 86”. Unfortunately, it does not float if you drop it accidentally.
The hand pump you get is fairly comfortable and built well enough to get the job done reasonably well when you compare it to most hand pumps.

Thurso Surf Waterwalker 132 Review
- GLIDE & SPEED
The Thurso Surf Waterwalker 132 glides really well, especially when compared to other all-around paddle boards.
It is also fast all-around due to many things including its 11’ length and slightly narrow width.
- STABILITY
With its width of 32” and dual-layer construction, the Thurso Surf Waterwalker 132 is very stable even for beginners.
- TRACKING
This board tracks above expectations due to its 32” width that makes executing vertical strokes easier.
Compared to boards in the Thurso Waterwalker series, it is the best at tracking.
- MANEUVERABILITY
The Thurso Surf Waterwalker 132 is easy to turn and has a nice sporty feel to it.
Turning on a dime with advanced techniques is also easier due to how the tail end tapers.
- PORTABILITY
The board in itself is not that lightweight, and the dual-chamber hand pump is also not lighter than single ones. So, carrying this on your back will not be very easy, especially for long distances.
Carrying around everything in the backpack is a little easier because it is sleeker and a little skinnier than others.
Getting the board in or out of the water is possible and does not require any extra help using the center carry handle.
- EASE OF INFLATION
Compared to simple one-chamber hand pumps, you can inflate this board quicker and easier.
I don’t know the period in which you can complete inflating this board but I can say that it will take between 7 to 15 minutes with a bit of a workout.
- ACCESSORIES
The Thurso Surf Waterwalker 132 comes with everything needed o start having fun on the water with your pet, kid, or friends.
The carbon fiber hybrid kit paddle is lighter weight and has a grip that fits the hand more comfortably and a shaft that doesn’t chafe the hands.
The hand pump you get uses two chambers and has three settings to be efficient and quicker compared to other kit simple pumps.
The backpack you get uses thick materials and quality zippers that make it very solid. Another thing that I like about it is the wheels that make transporting everything easier, especially if you are on the smaller side.
NIXY Venice G4 10’6
BEST FOR ONBOARD FITNESS

---|---|
– Stable for just about any sized adult – Great maneuverability – Ok tracking – So lightweight yet durable – Stiff – Comes with a fantastic, if not, the best kit paddle and a quite powerful hand pump -The backpack is easy to carry and has wheels | – Its width makes it a little slow on the water – The paddle holder is difficult to use because it seems to be in a very awkward position |
IDEAL CHOICE FOR:
- Beginners looking for a great stable paddle suitable for a variety of water conditions
- Intermediate paddlers looking for a well-built SUP
- People looking to share their experiences with a kid or pet
GREAT IN/FOR:
- Flat water
- Ocean

NIXY Venice G4 10’6 Review
- GLIDE & SPEED
With its width of 34”, the NIXY Venice G4 10’6 is not efficient on the water.
Compared to its other sibling the Manhattan, it is slower.
- STABILITY
This board is stable for just about any sized adult due to its quality construction and overall shape.
You will feel very comfortable standing on or just moving around on.
- TRACKING
The NIXY Venice G4 10’6 does not excel at tracking but it remains ok.
You can get around 7 to 10 strokes per side before switching to the other side of the board.
Smaller paddlers or ones with short arms may get less tracking because it is difficult for them the execute perfectly vertical strokes.
- MANEUVERABILITY
This board is great at maneuverability due to its length of just 10’6” and great stability.
Its deck pad that covers the majority of the board makes moving around on it an easy task.
It’s easy to turn using advanced techniques and remains the same even for beginners with basic turning techniques.
- PORTABILITY
The NIXY Venice G4 10’6 is easy to carry or transport because it is a lightweight paddle board.
Its shorter length of 10’6″ makes it easy to carry when inflated or rolls up into a compact package to easily fit in the kit backpack.
- EASE OF INFLATION
Using the hand pump you get with this board lets you inflate it to 15 PSI in approximately 6 minutes because it is quite powerful.
As with any hand pump, inflating a paddleboard remains always a bit of work.
- ACCESSORIES
The NIXY Venice G4 10’6 comes with everything needed to start having fun on the water.
Starting with the paddle, it is extremely lightweight and sturdy with no twisting in the shaft.
For the hand pump, you get a dual-chamber 3-stage pump that is more efficient and less tiring compared to simple hand pumps. Its foldable and removable pieces make it a bit compact and smaller for easier storage.
The backpack you get is easy to carry on the back because it is very well padded and has both waist and sternum straps. Another thing that I like to see on paddle board backpacks are the wheels that let kids or youth paddlers help you transport the package.
GILI Komodo 10’6
BEST LIGHTWEIGHT

WHAT I LIKE | WHAT I DON’T LIKE |

– Very lightweight – Very stable – Quality full-length deck pad – Better than expected tracking – Easy to maneuver – Great for paddling with a pet or kids – The backpack you get has many pockets, loops, padding and comes with wheels | – The kit paddle has a little twist in the shaft – The rear action-mounts takes a little space out of the deck-pad – The hand pump uses just a single chamber – The smaller D-rings makes removing the bungee cords not an easy task |
IDEAL CHOICE FOR:
- People who want to bring a pet of kit onboard
- Beginners who need a stable iSUP
- Paddlers seeking a lightweight paddle board
- Larger paddlers or ones who often bring a reasonable amount of gear

GILI Komodo 10’6 Review
- GLIDE & SPEED
Due to its construction that makes it fairly firm despite being so lightweight, the GILI Komodo 10’6 is quicker than expected and feels really nice on the water.
- STABILITY
The overall shape and construction of this board make it very stable and let you dig your paddle in the water without feeling like you were on the edge of going in.
- TRACKING
The GILI Komodo 10’6 tracking a little better than expected from a similarly-shaped cruiser paddle board.
If you have experience, you can paddle between 8 to 10 strokes before having to switch to the other side of the board.
- MANEUVERABILITY
This board is easy to maneuver with simple paddle techniques due to its construction combined with it shorter length and wider width.
Turning using advanced techniques remains also easy because the full-length deck pad lets you move around with ease.
- PORTABILITY
The lighter weight of this paddle and its one-chamber hand pump makes the package easier to carry for long distances.
Carrying it to or from the water is also easy with the front, rear and center handle.
- EASE OF INFLATION
Inflating this board using the kit hand pump is a little more challenging, especially with the last few PSI.
The task becomes more difficult the smaller you are because you will not have enough weight to push down the handle during the last 5 PSI.
- ACCESSORIES
The GILI Komodo 10’6 comes with everything needed to start having fun on the water.
The paddle you get has a fiberglass shaft and a nylon blade which makes it a great entry-level paddle that is sufficiently well for short distances. Unfortunately, it does twist a little in the shaft while paddling.
The kit pump is a single-chamber dual-stage hand pump that gets the job done and is good for keeping the overall weight down but it is a little more challenging with the last few PSI, especially if you are smaller.
The backpack you get has well-paddler handle straps, fairly thick padded straps, and padded back support. It comes also with a dedicated fin pocket, several sets of loops, and some additional mesh pockets around the outside.
It also has wheels that let roll it with just one hand.
HOW TO CHOOSE THE MOST STABLE PADDLE BOARDS
SIZE
The longer, wider, and thicker the board, the more stable it will be on the water.
SOLID OR INFLATABLE
Solid paddle boards provide a more stable feel because they ride lower and they are rigid.
ADDITIONAL
Other than tracking, fins under the paddleboard add also stability. The larger the fins the more stability you get out of them.
